At Messiah and St. Mark's we have a congregational approach to Youth Ministries. That means that we all--the whole congregation--are the people who plan youth events, teach classes, make friends with children and teens, offer advise and support, act as role models, and, most importantly, share the Christian community.
To help the congregation minister to youth we have specialty teams who facilitate the connection between youth and adults-- Messiah & St. Mark's Youth Executive Committee (YM1). They meet to set vision, identify and recruit volunteers, discuss youth issues and events. Donna Campbell is your adult YM1 representative, Nikos Geueke and Erica Campbell are the youth representatives, and Danny Stone serves as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries Ministries.
Messiah & St. Mark's Youth Committee (YM2), meet the second Sunday of each month to share their youth insights and observations with YM1. YM2 helps plan events, identifies and recruits volunteers, share their youth ministry dreams, and approves youth ministry policies.
Messiah & St. Mark's most important Youth Ministry Team is our whole congregational family (YM3). There is an amazing number of ways you can share your gifts and time with youth. We are especially thankful for the adults who serve as confirmation leaders, Sunday School teachers, mentors, friends at youth events. God bless all of you.
